Idyllic Getaway - with private spa

Very comfy to relax Positive: The property was very comfy to stay with our 2 daughters as they enjoyed the place and the spa pool was great, nice open space to sit, eat and chill. The messages with instructions from the host were very clear to follow, we had a really good time.

Nice house but weird attitude to guest comfort Positive: The house is new and spotlessly clean. The kitchen had good appliances. The hot tub was a welcome place to relax and warm up. The hosts were responsive to my questions. Negative: We had difficulty with the panel heating system, which is also connected to the single heated towel rail in the bathroom. As the weather was very wet and there were 4 of us using the house and also using the hot tub it was important to be able to dry out our towels. When I inquired about how to get the heating and the towel rail on I was told that there was a control panel "hidden behind a painting in the entranceway" (!). This had been set up with the wrong time and with frost mode activated, which meant the heating and towel rail were only on at very limited times. Now, admittedly the hosts responded quickly and honestly to my inquiry, however this weird deception made me feel like saving money on heating was more important than the comfort of their guests and left me feeling disappointed with the place.

Positive: A great house with all the amenities that you need and a short distance to the centre and marina area. Would highly recommend for a relaxing stay in Taupo and the hot tub and view make it extra special. Negative: Nothing
