Perfectly located lakeside stay with stunning views and cosy winter comfort Positive: The property was perfectly located, with just a short walk to the Marathon start line, which was a huge highlight for us. The views across the lake towards Ruapehu were absolutely stunning, and looking out the kitchen window in the morning to see the steam rising from a geyser in the distance. The facilities were modern, clean and had everything we needed. We’d definitely love to come back and enjoy the frosty winter ambience again, especially tucked up in front of the fireplace. Negative: Nothing!

Amazing place and worth every penny we paid. Positive: Everything, the place is truly a gem. Walked in and was like wow. Had absolutely everything we needed. Negative: Nothing much at all, wife did mention something about not having a TV in the living area but I didn’t mind this.

Escape in taupo Positive: Had everything we needed, comfy beds, very clean. Central to town, can walk to lake.
